About our nursery

Your child will be based in one of our three well-equipped rooms; our baby room, toddler room or pre-school room.

When children register, they have a free one-hour stay and play session where parent/carers stay to help familiarise their child with the setting. Following that, children have a free two-hour settling-in session where parent/carers can leave. We also offer home visits if required.

To help children settle in and gain a sense of belonging, they will be allocated a colour group with a key practitioner, as well as having their own colour-coded coat peg and individual tray.

We follow an EYFS-based curriculum, with each area of our nursery relating to a different aspect of this curriculum, such as literacy, mark-making or expressive art and design. Independence and practising real life skills are encouraged at every opportunity, and we also have a wonderful outdoor area.

Parents/carers can follow their child’s activities at nursery on the online platform, Tapestry. We upload photos and videos, as well as termly reports. Parents/carers can also add photos of children’s home learning and activities. We also have a ‘Lending Library’ for children to borrow a book for a week to read at home with their families, to help enhance their concentration, communication and literacy skills.

We had our first Ofsted inspection in October 2022 and were extremely proud to be awarded ‘Good’ in all areas. Click here to read our Ofsted report.
