At Welbourne Primary Academy, we believe that educational visits are a vital part of enriching our curriculum and enhancing pupils’ learning experiences. These opportunities help to:

• Bring breadth to the learning experience
• Stimulate curiosity and enquiry
• Encourage tolerance and build relationships
• Extend, enlighten and enrich classroom learning

From September 2025, each class will take part in one educational trip per academic year, carefully linked to their themed learning topic. This trip will be designed to provide meaningful enrichment.

To support families, payments can be made via MCAS, and we will share trip details and costs at the earliest opportunity to allow for planning and budgeting.

In addition to the annual trip, staff will continue to organise in-school enrichment experiences to complement each topic. These may involve external educational partners and could include a small charge to cover resources.

We are mindful of the financial pressures families may face and aim to keep costs low while ensuring all children benefit from high-quality enrichment opportunities.
