Reading

  • Pupils need to read every evening and add a comment in their reading record. This could be written by a parent, carer, family member, or even a friend.

  • Year 6 have decided on a reward system for those children who read every evening along with a comment. We have decided that every half term those children will be rewarded with a ‘Reading Party’. Our weekly reward is extra break on Mondays for those children who manage to read every week along with a comment.

  • Pupils will be heard at least once a week by a member of staff in school and pupils should have their books and reading records in school so that they can take them to their PTL lessons.

And remember, the school library has an excellent selection of books that are readily available.
